Declorinating Water

I know that an RO/DI system is the best way to prepare water but I do not have one. When I had a freshwater tank I simply used Prime.

Can someone give me an opinion on the use of Prime to declorinate water to mix for my SW tank?

If Prime is not the best way to go, does it help if I run the water through my Brita pitcher then add Prime after?

Prime will suffice. Distilled would be better than a Brita.
