Cool Tadpoles everywhere!!!

i went to play some tennis with a friend and i hit the ball into a puddle (about the size of a dinner table) on the tennis court. When we went to go retrieve it, we noticed a black cloud flush across the puddle, then we looked closer to see hundreds and hundres of tadpoles swimming around. they were so tiny and black colored. I have some concners to there enviroment because i know that puddle will dry soon and management will clean it up very soon. How can i save some of these little guys? or should i just leave them alone? and whats a good plave to learn how to care for them in case?

thanks alot :) ive never dealt with frogs or toads or tadpoles at all!

You can take a icecream pail or something and move them to a more permanent water source. Drainage ditch and ponds would be best.

That is so nice of you to want to save those tadpoles. I hope you find a home for them.

Thanks :) and I hope so too. I'm doing some research on how to care for them. I'm thinking of putting them in a bucket like mentioned above and putting them in a nearby lake. I hope I don't raise poisonous toads lol

wow. i went there today and there was even more! hundreds and hundreds of them! it was impossible to get them all. I also noticed that many perished unfortunately. I could only collect about 30. I kept one however. so far it looks like its doing well. i fear that it may be a toad. Toads are the only amphibians i ever see in my city in Texas. So, soon as he becomes mobile, im letting it go! lol i feel really bad for the all the ones left behind.
