Ok, so I got a new leopard gecko from a freind. well he/she shed its skin and has some left around the toes, how do I get rid of it? he doesn't have a humid hide yet so could you give me some DIY suggestions? thanks in advance!

P.S he is fairly old.

hi
if you have a deep container, put some tepid water in there, then put the gecko in,
just making sure that the water is not too deep, then with a Qtip(cottonbud)
gently coax the skin from the toes,it will take a little time as the skin will
be so dry.
the other option is to place him in a container with moist moss in,put small holes in the lid,
and place the tub a little way onto the heat pad.
let me know how you get on. :)

Dunno if it will work on lizzards but for my snake I used 50/50 water/gatorade and soaked him in it for several hours sometimes a day....skin fell right off.
