Yeah I did a bit more reading after that and found that they are better in at least pairs. How do you tell the difference between male and female? I hear it is very difficult!

Ok so I have just brought two ADFs home :)
Noticed on getting them home that one has a 'hand' missing :( poor thing, probably had an accident with a filter. I am going to cover my filter with a stocking to prevent this happening again. Got plants, hiding places etc in the tank (17 US gal) and going to put some floating plants in now from another tank. My 5 golden WCMMs are in there too. I have bought live bloodworm to feed them, which is in the fridge. I also have other suitable foods already. Temperature will be around 75 degrees.
Anything else I've forgotten?
