I hope you're able to maintain temps downstairs. Is your basement heated? Ours is NOT, and I have the 29g tank in the tattoo area down there. It keeps temps amazingly well - of course, water vs air. . . hrm. Hope it works out for you - it really IS the perfect spot! And don't worry - nobody is going to look twice at the walls with TWO amazing tanks to divert their attention!

It is heated, but it still gets cooler than the main floor. I'm going to hook the lamp up and see what kind of temperatures are in the tank.
