i was wonderin if i setup an old 10 gallon wat type of newts could i put in it, the only newts i see around here are paddletail newts and firebelly newts. I really like the paddletail would they be ok in a 10 gallon or would firebelly's be the best

You could do either in a 10g. Just not both.

I am going to be getting two Fire bellies in my 10g, I could probably do more, but I am sticking with two for now. I think you could do the same with the paddle tails. They get to be 6-7inches.

It seems to me like 2 6-7 inch newts in a 10 gallon might be a little much. Just not that much room them especially if they like to spend a lot of time in the water.

The paddletails on the other hand seem to mostly aquatic and should be fine in a 10 gallon as long as they have a fair number of places to hide. It says they can be agressive but it seems like there is only a problem with different species. Lots of good filtration would be needed to keep the water quility and they prefer a current to the filtration will help.
