It does have a nice selection. Just gotta look around for a local aquarium. None are like 10 minutes from my house, the closest is 20 minute drive for me.

It sucks that they are kinda that far, but at the same time I don't mind the drive it gets me out of the house. Except know the gas prices here are creeping up to $4.00 a gallon, and I drive a car that only gets 14mpg. I have been looking for something alot smaller.

Oh and the ick has fallen off my fish so it is in the gravel now. I have been gravel syphoning everyday. And now my ammonia is out of wack. It was reading 8ppm on my API Master Kit. Which 8ppm is way to high my fish would be dead. So I think something is acting up.

i've not been for a while,the last fish were gold tiger barbs,they seem to be
the sturdest fish,i;ve had in a long time.
are your tests still in date.
maybe it's the gravel being disturbed that's causing a bit of trouble.

I will test again once i get home from work, and test my tap water too. I have been using Ammo-lock which converts ammonia to the other one. But it will still read on the test. But still that seem really high.

I have never seen gold tiger barbs.

Oh I have seen those before but my LFS calls them cream tiger barbs.

Just want to tell you we have a female that look exactly like yours. Her name is Ringo. My daughter wants it to be a boy, but it's a female. They are full of personality. I've had lots of success breeding dubia roaches, which are high in protein and our leo loves them. Also mealworms, but roaches are best for them.

They do have great personailtiies, they are very docile. She loves wax worms. But those are only a treat once in a while. Mostly I feed her meal worms and crickets. I will have to look into the roaches. Are they easy to breed? I thought about breeding my own crickets for feeding.

What is so great about roaches, is they never die. Crickets are noisy and they don't live long. I bought some adults from a place called (online) Philly roaches, and I still have those first adults, and yes, they breed easily. Temps in the room need to be around 70 degrees, but I don't use a heat light or anything. They love oranges, and I have egg cartons for them, and that's about it - except food too, carrots and a roach meal I got from the roach company. I'm not sure that's the exact name of the company, it's been awhile since I've ordered, but you should be able to find them if you google the name. I also breed mealworms, and they are also easy. I've got a small roach and mealworm factory going! LOL!

The things people don't know about me! They are really pretty easy. I throw mealworms out for birds occassionally, because our leo can't eat them fast enough.

I would never bother with crickets after having roaches, but they creep many people out - they don't bother me. I'm a animal lover, no matter what it is, bugs don't "bug" me. Truthfully, I always feel a bit bad about feeding them to our leopard gecko, but she needs to eat too.
