Yellow Lab with Bloat?

I've been away all weekend and come home yesterday to see my male lab all bloated and breathing at a higher than normal rate. From research it sounds like bloat but I am new to fishdom and want to cover my bases. I went to the lfs and they recommended gently rub his abdomin. The sold me some antibiotic that I can't recall now (I'm at work:). Any ideas? He does not have any scales lifting or popeyes that I can tell. Thanks for your help! Deefish

I've never heard of such method. A gag I guess.

Try green peas and continue monitoring him. Constipation is another possibility. Better to monitor first than to dump the antibiotics and end up putting him to the worse.
