What does it mean when my fish are all suddenly breathing really fast? Plenty of bubbles going, and they are not hanging out near the surface. Just breathing really fast! Thanks.

Lack of oxygen or bad water parameteres are the most likely causes.

What are your water parameters? Does your filter cause movement on the surface of the water? What is the temperature of the tank?

Yes filter causes movement os surface. Temp is at 82 when it is usually 77. Wonder how that happened. Do you think that's it? Thanks.

It's not just lack of oxygen that makes them act like that. It could be ammonia burn or some other reflection of poor water quality. What are your water parameters?
