Weird Behaviour?? O__o

my male betta has a kinda weird habit where he sits, or rests really, on his heater. he likes to swim all around it too. i assumeits not hurting him or anything or else he wouldnt do it. but i just think its weird. does anyone else have a fish that does this?

is your flter close to the heater? if not maybe there isnt enough circulation and all the warmth is right on the heater

Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are like us." Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are not like us." Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction. ~Charles R. Sounds like he's just very glad to have it. I agree, put it right by the filter so it circulates more.

This is the song that never ends...

the tank is kinda small, its only 2.5 gallons so by default the heater ended up near the filter XD
maybe he was exploring it?
