Water Levels on the Increase

Hi Everyone,

My water levels have been increasing and I was wondering if anyone can suggest anything for me?

pH about 7.6
Ammonia about .50
Nitrite about .5-1.00
Nitrate about 10

Temperature between 80-82
1 Angel Fish
1 Gourami
3 Red Eye Tetras
3 Sunburst Platies
2 Albino cleaner fish (Pleco?)
28 Gallon Tank

I also did my water change like 5 days ago but my water levels have been increasing before. This is a new tank. I started my tank with all my levels being fine. This was like... 2 1/2 weeks ago.

Hi Omor.

I believe you added too many fish in just two weeks especially the plecos and the tank has not even finished cycling yet. I would do water changes on daily basis by 30-40% until the ammonia and nitrites decrease.

Thank you for your reply. I'll do a water change right now. Am I to do this for a week straight or until I see my water levels changing on a positive note?
