I've not used cuprisorb personally but when working it the trade many of my customers swore by it for the health of their reefs.
as far as i can tell it does exactly what is says on the label.

I had a tank that had an outbreak of velvet and used a copper based treatment with the blackout.
I added activated carbon after treatment and after 2 months of using that added a Cameroon armoured shrimp, he lived quite well for a long time and the only reason I do not have him now is my 11 clown loaches decided he was tasty one night :/

so the upshot is, I think 2 months of carbon use, or cuprisorb will be sufficient to eliminate the copper.

how goes things? is the blackout/copper working?
