tail and fin is gone

I just got homw from work to notice one of my black mollies (male) was tail side up (vertial) and then noticed his tale and left fin is almost gone. He cant stay horizontal due to his tail.. I feel so bad.. what do I do? I just don't have the heart to flush him. I feel really bad..

I had to take my chinese algea eater out of my tank. He ate the tail off one of my panda corys. He is 5inches long and is what i call devil fish. Worth a try to do that first.
