Still having problems....

So I'm still having trouble with my 20 gallon community tank. And I say "still" becuase I posted a thread about a week ago.

Old thread: The coming of ich?

Old post in a nut shell: I think my tank has ich. Or the beginning signs of it.. No white spots yet but most of the fish (not all) are itching/scrapping on the gravel and decorations...

So since that post I've put in a new bigger heater and set it up 82 degrees, added aquarium salt, cleaned the gravel/water change. But still they keep itching/scrapping. So I'm contemplating taking all of the fish out, putting them in my 50 gallon (has plenty of room), cleaning the gravel very thoroughly, cleaning the decorations, filling the tank up again and letting it cycle for a few days and putting the fish back in..

Any ideas?

Possibly not ich , could be a water problem . Is your tank cycled? Letting the tank cycle for a few days sounds like you don't have a grasp on the nitrogen cycle. Do daily water changes, test your water. How long has it been running? Read up on the nitrogen cycle. It takes months to cycle a tank, not days. Im guilty of assuming glancing is ich or other parasites and it turns out to be ammonia or nitrates in the water.

Consider the needs of your fish before acting on your desires.
