Sore on Dwarf Blue Gourami

1. Size of tank? 10 gallons

2. Water parameters
a. Ammonia? Near zero
b. Nitrite? 0
c. Nitrate? Low but present
d. pH, KH and GH? pH around 6, sometimes a bit lower. Don't know KH and GH
e. Test kit? Hagen

3. Temperature? 24C

4. FW (fresh water) or BW (brackish)? FW

5. How long the aquarium has been set up? Two years

6. What fish do you have? How many are in your tank? How big are they? How long have you had them? Dwarf Gourami, one Otocinclus (the others died) and two mystery snails that are still small

7. Were the fish placed under quarantine period (minus the first batch from the point wherein the tank is ready to accommodate the inhabitants)? No

8. a. Any live plants? Fake plants? Many many live plants
b. Sand, gravel, barebottom? Sand
c. Rocks, woods, fancy decors? Any hollow decors? Rocks and Malaysian driftwood

9. a. Filtration? Yes
b. Heater? Yes

10. a. Lighting schedule? What lights are used? 10 hours on, 14 off, blue and white fluorescents
b. Any sunlight exposure? How long? No

11. a. Water change schedule?
b. Volume of water changed? 40%
c. Well water, tap water, RO water? Tap, region water is very soft
d. Water conditioner used? Yes, Stress Coat
e. Frequency of gravel/sand (if any) vacuumed? Weekly

12. Foods? Tropical flakes, dried bloodworms
How often are they fed? Morning once a day

13. a. Any abnormal signs/symptoms? Not really, maybe hiding more?
b. Appearance of poop? Normal
c. Appearance of gills? Normal

14. a. Have you treated your fish ahead of diagnosis? No
b. What meds were used? N/a

This sore just looked like a missing scale but in the last week has turned into a full-on sore. He's a lovely fish and I'd like to save him if possible!
