Should I treat my loach

I saw white spots on his tail for the past day and half. I have seen ick more than my fair share with neons in the past. These looked like ick. This morning I went to prepare for treatment and there weren't any spots at all. I decided to hold off until feeding time again to check his tail to make sure that's what I was really seeing. There are no spots left.

I think that I should not treat since there are no longer any signs of disease. Any suggestions? Should I treat? no body else is showing signs of anything going on.

temp is 75, ph 8-8.1, nitrite 0, ammonia 0, nitrate 10 ( but I did just put 5 new fish in on Sunday). Water was last changed 2/4

I will look into the ph. We run on well water with high mineral content so I am not sure I can do much without a lot of additives.

I'm going to have to work on the picture thing. I have a digital buuuuut I am a little technologically inept.
