Scratches on cory cat

Hey guys, one of my sterbai corys has 2 scratches on its body. I noticed it today, and started treatment of melafix to prevent any infections from happening. He doesn't seem too happy; dorsal fin is clamped, he kinda floats around slowly, but he does shift for food and munches around here and there, just not as often. Is there anything else I can do other than continue the melafix treatment? The scratches don't seem THAT deep; enough to see a bit of red at an angle, but it's not gouges or ulcers. Just 2 thin red lines.

i would move him to a qt tank until it heals a little because if he is moving slower, some fish may sense he is not good and gang up on him. do u have any semi- agressive fish. can u attach some pics of his cuts?

I <3

Ah, thanks for the reply. I actually treated him with melafix, and the scratches have all healed up. Thanks for the response though! Most likely he got them while rummaging for food in the sand and hit some gravel spots.
