Ropefish Bleeding Help

Today I got home and found my Ropefish on the side of the tank with cuts on his side and stomach. I noticed also that there is bleeding from his gills... Can anyone help me with what I can do to save him if at all possible? The substrate is rounded gravel and all the broken pots have been filed for no sharp edges. I have no idea how this has happened!

1 Regular Pleco (4-5 years old), 6 Clown Loaches, 1 Giant Danio (4-5 years old), 3 Koi

R.I.P Jaws - 18" Pleco ~10 years old.
R.I.P Giant Danio ~5 years old.

Have heard of these fish injuring themselves on the edge of the glass tops along the back of some aquariums while trying to escape which they are very good at.
Could also be that the fish found a sharp edge on one of the pots while burrowing in substrate despite care take to file down the edges.
You don't have a cat do you?

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.

I do have a cat, I checked all my pots and it couldnt have been them. The scratches do look like something just came and sliced it on one side, and again on the bottom of it. There's a plastic rim around the aquarium.
