Rope Fish Help. Splitting in half!

Having some realy wierd things going on with our ropefish, its in the girlfriends 48gal tank and it appears to be either splitting in half or having something grow out of it, I attached a picture and will try to get more, also some areas of the fish appear white, realy have no idea where to go with this one, the fish still appears to move around and breath but its realy creepy.

I need to know your water parameters, feeding schedule, tank maintenance schedule and other fish in it.

Sent from my desktop or phone or whatever else I am holding on to 2

that fish has a severe case of tail rot, if something is not done very soon it will die.
I suggest a course of a strong antibiotic, like acriflavin.
