Red Shark Lifeless- help!

He seems to be a lighter grey now and very slow and only moves when aggravated by a net or fish. I've got him in a "coffee pot" lol, floating in the tank b/c my 10g is still...cyling. My dad seems to think he is starving or lacking food b/c I currently don't really have any food for him although multiple sights have said he eats flake food which I've allowed a bit to fall to the bottom of the tank. He also used to eat some of the algae clinging to the side of the tank. He did this for about 3 straight days, and then he started this. Any opinions? Thanks, I will go check the water params.

He does not have any outer signs that would warn me.

How is your shark doing this morning? I wish I knew some advice to give you but I know nothing about sharks. What's your ph in this tank?

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

He may just be starving. I'm pretty sure "sharks" (although they're not really sharks) are carnivorrous for the most part. He'd probably onle eat algae if he was really desparate. I'd say try getting him some food made for the type of shark he is before anything else.

20 gallon long: 3 adult Neolamprologus similis + about 11 fry of various ages; low light planted tank
20 gallon long:2 freshwater dwarf puffers (Puff Puff and Poofer); medium-light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Wormy; low light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Dante; low light planted tank
2, 5.5 gallon tanks that are currently empty (I see more fish on the horizon )

What kind of food would you recommend? Most of the "floating foods" will get eaten up. Sadly he died...probably do to starvation :(

I have a red-tailed shark now.

Ph is 8.0-8.2

Sharks are not carnivorus. They are algae-grazers and "vegetarians."

Sorry to hear about the shark.
