Red cut(?) on side of my Zebrafish

This appeared on my Zebrafish two days ago. I think it's probably a cut from something, but I'm not sure.

Is it treatable with medicine or should I just let it heal? Here are some pictures, two with the scratch, and one from the other side of her body (without the scratch).

Can you isolate the fish or is it already by itself in a hospital tank? The best think for your fish is super clean water. I would also remove anything with sharp edges in the tank so it doesn't happen again.

Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get worse. You might have to treat the fish for secondary bacterial infection if it doesn't heal up properly. Good luck and keep us posted.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Can you tell whether this is physical damage or ulceration from a bacterial infection? Physical damage will heal, an infection probably needs antibiotics.
