Rasbora cyst?

Ok one of my harlequin rasbora has a 5mm or so square patch of white fuzz very dense almost like an old scab that is white right after you get out of the shower, yesterday that was all he had but now today he has a white dot that looks like a small zit in the exact center, I've been watching him and hes acting pretty normal maybe alittle more active then the others. None of my others are showing any sign of sickness and I even have a large female who has been spawning with a few males.

One odd thing I did notice is that some of the male rasboras have been going up to plant leaves and turning upside down and rubbing their bellies along the bottom quickly - I figured it was part of the spawning because rasboras lay eggs on leaves but it might be a sign of an outbreak

I put the sick one in a little guppy fry catcher without the catcher part in it

Also had one die on me 3 days ago but I figured that was normal

Glancing on leaves is bad water or external parasites or something irritating the fish. Dying is not normal, its a sign of something bad happening. You most likely have parasites or an infection. Or fungus.

Dieing is normal when you buy 10 fish that are smaller then an inch xD I expected some casualties and when I returned the fish all my specs were good except a .05 ammonia ( zeros on nitrates) or something which was still under their threat range ~ and since then I've added even more plants to soak that up.

I'm sure the rubbing is spawning now, I just saw my female and a male together on one of my umbrella plants

Showing ammonia and no nitrates is not normal in a cycled tank. Imo.

Picked up a an Api master test set and it gave me a zero on ammonia so maybe the water in the bag had something break down in it - other then high hardness and highish ph my water is perfect, this tank has been cycled for 2 years

Only one this forum has a profile for is Characidium fasciatum there are tons of types I currently have Rainbow, Least, and Green Sided but that tank has nothing to do with this tank
