Does anyone have experience with diagnosing and treating pop-eye? Some of my cory cats seem to have "pop-eye." I put in some aquarium salt to change the water potential a bit to draw out the liquids in the eyes. But I'm not sure that would actually work. It works in high school biology books though... Ammonia-0ppm, nitrates low; i would know the ppm value, but i lost the little color card, i use a conditioner every time i do a water change. 20% a week. the return compartment in my wet/dry is uncovered. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Should it be covered? And i used pvc to run the return from the water pump. I cleared all the shavings out with a hose before i glued it all up. I hope the glue isn't the culprit. Its just the home-depot stuff. I didn't think that there was any other way of bonding it all together.

Try observing your cories. From what I've read, pop-eye isn't the main disease, it's just a symptom. But since you're not really 100% sure that it is pop-eye, continue to observe closely. If the fish don't seem to be burdened and act normal, then there's nothing to worry about. Just a tip, cories have low tolerance for salt so be careful with the salt dosage.

Not sure if this has anything to do with your corys, but the glue you used shouldnt be used in a fish tank...theres something toxic to fish in there. i think that theres special aquarium glue you can buy from your lfs.
