They almost look like bites, or wounds and is what I'm thinking because when ever it tries to eat its algae wafer, other fish come in and attack the pleco to eat the wafer.
I have a 20 Gallon tank, 3 Pleco, 3 Tiger barbs, 4 Neon Tetras, and 2 platies.
I do not know all my water specs and stuff, but I have gottan a testing kit to do. I have recently treated my fish for ick, if thats needed or not.

Sorry to add something, but I just noticed, on the front side of my pleco, he also has many black bumps, I don't think its from being bitten or harassed anymore, it looks like a growth.
