Have a small cut that used to be a blister on my right hand index finger, and now I've got myself all worked up ...
Oh man the number of cuts I have and the number of times I stick my hand in the tank.
As far as I know, fish TB is basically like a flu for people... Many long time fish keepers are thought to have had it at some point in their lives, thinking it's a flu and unrelated to fish.
Unless you have a compromised immune system, no worries.
If you are older, pregnant, a child, or have anything that weakens your immune system, you should wear gloves from now on.. But a healthy person is really in no danger. Posted via Mobile Device

I don't think my fish have the disease as I have got them from a fish shop quite recently.
I've had my hands in my friends tank too, is fish currently have Ich (he also recently got his fish from a fish shop).
Just wash your hands in hot water, with a good anti-bacterial soap, and use rubbing alcohol afterwards(if you have open wounds on your hands or arms) It can be tranmitted to humans but is extremely rare. As previously posted if you have a normal immune system there is not much concern.
