Hi I have a 46 gallon tank with 1 kissing gourami, 1 CAE, 1 rainbow shark, 1 SAE, 3 rosy barbs, 2 pineapple swordtails , 5 neon tetras, 3 australian rainbowfish, 1 Otto catfish , and 1 pleco. I recently got a swordtail and it has ich. I got this medication called quick cure and it contains formalin and malchite green. Should I use a full dose or half dose because of the type of fish I have.

Back in March, You had concerns with swordtail and Ich. At that time you also had a silver dollar in quarantine with possible Ich. Is this the same swordtail? If not, why wasn't this recent addition placed in your quarantine tank that you had mentioned? Product Quick Cure clearly states that half dose is recommended for sensitive fish such as tetras(neon). I would use at half dose considering your tetras and otocinclus. I have used this medication with success while using at half dose.
Slowly turn temp in tank up to 82 degrees over a period of 10 to 12 hours.
Remove any carbon from filters if you are using carbon.
Treat at half dose for three consecutive days. On fourth day, change 25 percent of the water and treat for another three consecutive days. After six days of treatment, observe the fish. If Ich is still present, repeat treatment at half dose same as before. Otherwise,,, perform 25 percent water change and replace the carbon to clear the tank of medication.
Lastly,, closely observe the fish you buy to spot possible issues with their health and place new fish in quarantine if possible. And ALWAYS use medications for their recommended length of treatment. I am aware that product Quick Cure claims to clear Ich in as little as 24 hours that is why I shared what has worked for me.Ich cycle can take up to ten days to clear with medication.
