My oscar hasn't eaten in days,he was at the bottom of the tank for a day, now he is swimming like mad into the sides and ornaments. He has a large area of tail that is disapearing like fin rot? these pics are the best i cud get as he won't stay still .
nitate-40

i have checked the water,it is the exact same as every 3 days I check.
the tank mates are the other oscar(who is still normal and hungry all the time),two convicts, and a large pleco

Hi, I don't personally have an oscar but my best friend has an Oscar so I'm pretty familiar with the fish. Do you know if any of your other fish are picking on him any? I know that Oscars are normally aggressive and cannot have a lot of tank mates. What size of tank do you have him in? My best friend has a 200 gallon aquarium, 2 Oscars, 5 Silver Dollars, and 5 Clown Loaches. Then he has another 65 gallon aquarium with an Oscar in it. He sounds very stresed and depressed. When an Oscar is depressed he lays on the bottom of the tank, you also might want to check into fin rot, I have never dealt with fin rot, but you might want to put him into a tank of his own so he doesn't contaminate his tank mates.
