Oscar not eating

hey guys umm i have a baby albino Oscar and hes been eating well since i got him, and a bout a week ago he wasnt eating at all and now he eats 1-3 pellets and thats it, any ideas on whats wrong with him?

First check obvious things, like is your water parameters ideal? No ammonia, nitrites and low levels of nitrates. What temp is the water? Does he/she looked stress? Clamped fins, hiding?

last i tested the levels was after a 25% water change about 4 days ago and they were all normal, temp is around 78-84 degrees F, and im not sure how to tell weather its a male or female but does not looked stressed, but it does seem to be hiding in my drift wood alot.

On this forum, saying water is "normal" doesn't help much, so you really need to know what your water parameters are, and ideally use the liquid API test kits, as they are more reliable than the strips.

Also, a range of 78-84 is huge for a fish. Hopefully, you don't have that kind of fluctuation, or that could be the problem. Look at the profiles for the ideal range for the Oscar, and keep the temp within that.

i think the reason my temp is so high is because my heater is busted because it always had the temp at about 78F and now it never turns off, so i unplugged it an the temp is stable at 76F im probably going to buy a new heater soon so i'll keep you posted on the temp and see if it stays at 78F.
