ok, alittle while ago i found this little black thing on the bottom of my tank. it looked like a worm but was hard, and not moving. so i took it out of the tank with a net and examined it, searched on google for somthing to try and figure it out but found nothing. i broke it and inside this thing was a small thin flexible thing. iam not the best at describing things but this thing scared me. ive found one of these things once about a month ago but thought it was fish feces and tossed it. and it showed up again. so if anyone knows what it might be please let me know and how or if i can get it to stop showing up.

Pictures would have been nice. But, since you squashed the thing, that is impossible. Next time take a pic, they sure do help.

The only thing I have heard of that was similar is an aquatic earthworm egg case. Any size comparison could be useful. Also, if you have a scanner, try to scan it in.

well it looked like a tiny burnt twig about a half inch long. and maybe as thick as 2 quaters side by side. the problem with my scanner is we got the wrong software when we bought it and hewlett packard told us that we had to pay like 10 bux for the cd, kinda b.s. to me but thats big companies that suck for ya.
