noris and rita my jaguar cichlids need help
I have owned a pair of jaguar cichlids for about 6 months now, they are so cooool, their names are noris and rita, Since day one they have been wonderful, they mate and produce fry at least once a month, although not been successful in the fry living for too long. The Jaugars are very friendly they feed out of my husbands hands ( i am not so brave) but and there is always a but, over the past week they have become very wary or could say down right scared of us, they have gone the complete opposite to what they were, if you walk past the tank Noris the male goes berzerk, he bangs himself on the end of the tank, manages to lift the lid of the tank so water comes flooding out, his behaviour is getting worse, he looks very angry and is not feeding, we cannot even contemplate what can be wrong, we have a few fry survived from last month, and are a quarter of an inch long, is it that what is bothering him, the water is perfect we clean and water change every 7 to 10 days. Rita the female is not quite as bad, behaviour wise although she does get out the way when we come up to the thank. There is no sign of Noris getting any better, and is showing a few scars and scrapes where he keeps banging himself. Please please please is there any Jaguar lovers out there that might know what is wrong, and what we can do about it, poor old Noris is not happy, well not with us anyway.
