New fish need help!!!!

Hi,
So I finally received my keyhole cichlids that I was asking about in another post. When the package arrived it looked as if it had been stomped! Water had leaked and the post office was none too happy either. They looked like they had been packaged well, with styrofoam, and a heat pack, but the delivery was not very pretty. I was surprized when I opened the box as the fish were still alive.
They are adults and a very awesome fish. Two look like they will be ok, but the largest one is sitting on the bottom in the corner of the tank. I've turned out the lights and added an airstone. Is there anything else I can do. I really don't want to lose any of them.

So sorry to hear the postal service, was not so gentle with your package.
Sounds like you are doing everything right. Keep the lights out at least a day, to help them feel more relaxed.
Of course, test your water, make sure it remains free of ammonia and nitrite, to prevent any added stress.

Since it was shipped with very little water (less pressure), how about keeping one that is lying down into breeder trap with more holes for better circulation. Very important to have good circulation in the breeder trap. Small but gentle aeration is also assist in the breeder trap.

Since breeder trap is on top of the tank, it will pose less pressure on the fish which is already under lots of stress.
