Neon Tetras

One of my Neon Tetras has a swollen belly and swimming tale up and head down 45 degree this only started happening this morning after feeding them flakes. So I come home from work and my Tetras belly is back to normal size and swimming normal. After reading afew forums I have decided to fast my Tetras for a day or maybe two. I'm worried this may not fix the problem but only postpone it happening again. Has anyone else had this problem if so can you give me some advice.

I had a neon look like it had swim bladder disease once. It couldn't swim very well and it couldn't keep its "balance". I figured it was just a matter of time, so I just made sure it wasn't getting bullied and let things take their course. Surprisingly, the fish recovered. I suppose the it's possible your neon could have gotten bloated and that caused the issue. A short fast won't hurt your fish. As a matter of fact, many people skip feeding one day a week as part of their routine. Best of luck.
