Need Help with very sick betta

Hello, I have a betta who ive had for about 6 months, about 2 months ago I noticed a lump on its side, it never affected him and he ate and swam normally. The size kept growing and it became very large. it expanded in one point of the lump the it wasn't covered in scales and seemed to be filled with air, this happened a few days ago. this morning I woke up to find that the lump has burst.
I think it may be a tumour from what ive seen and read but I cant find anything on them bursting like this, he went from swimming normally yesterday to laying down breathing shallow and not eating. I'm very worried it seems to be a fresh wound and I cant see any thing that may be infection. The only thing I can think to do is remove the pink lump but I don't want to hurt or stress him. Is there anything I can do for him at this point he is still alive and he did swim normally earlier.

Ive been having issues with my ph recently. it slips to 6.0 which is what it was at when I tested the water so I put on ph up in to raise it a bit, I have a lot put 1 1/2 teaspoons of aquarium salt and a few drops of a white spot anit fungul treatment in
He is in with guppies but confined from them and 12 apple snails
MY tank is a 150 litre 3 foot tank
PH now at 6.6
