my friend is movin and we are lookin for tips on how to move the fish and tanks out saftly plz thanks guys
you'll see other posts like this too so look around. Basically the best thing to do is to take down the tank last and set it up first in the new house. You want to have the fish traveling for as little as possible to minimize stress and beneficial bacteria loss. How far are you moving? What kind of fish? How many gallons is the tank? How many fish? I've found ice chests to be a handy way to transport fish and your water because it can be opened and closed easily and keeps the temperature consistant inside. If its a long drive you can get a battery powered airpump too. Your main concern also is to keep the bacteria in your filter and tank alive so that you avoid having to cycle a new tank all over again.
