Just to followup I had been doing partial water changes following the healing to remove the meds and freshen the water - three fish in a 5g is pushing it w/o biology. Well, although cured, they needed a few more days to comply with an appropriate grace period of healing. However, I came home from work to find the male in stress (females seemed okay). I did a quick water change, but felt they should be moved back to the big tank. The fish showed some signs of adjustment difficulty. The male seemed to come out of stress, but the larger female had some shimmy behavior. All three seemed to favor an area right around the heater.
Now after a few days, I'm happy to say they all look good, healthy and happy.
The male still pesters the females too much.

Father Knows Best but Abbey knows everything! I once knew everything, then I asked one question.
