im very concerned about my new fish!!!

I just bought a new fish last night(a male betta), I named him Jordan, and I really really like him, but i think that he's sick! some times when he swims his tail just hangs over to the side kind of limp like...could he just bee freaked out by his new home? or dose it sound like a reall problem?
i need some one with more experiance to give me some guidance!... he's such a beautiful creature, I just dont want to hurt him!

dun fret, the tail is sort of limp b/c it weighs alot. remember, the tail is long and wide, its dragging. however, if your fish starts to look lethargic and the bottom of its chin turns pale and white, and the eyes start to change colors (demonic like) then THATs when u have to worry... happened to 5 of my fishes. also, there is ick, and tail rot, and other sorts of fish diseases... but dun worry, it happens, but not all the time. I suggest u research a lil more about ur betta... it helped me alot to research, even a lil about betta care, when I first started owning bettas
