Looks like it to me. What are your water parameters? How long have you had the fish?

my pH is around 7, every thing else is fine, only thing is that i was away for 2 days and my heater stopped working so my temp droped below 70ish for a day, i have had this fish for 3 days now. what should i do to try and get rid of it ?

Stress of the move and the heater breaking. There's your cause, bottom line. In my opinion, for a fish to be 'fully acclimated' into a new tank can take at the BEST one week, but usually two to four weeks when being introduced into an existing aquarium with other fish. What others do you have in the tank?

The stress of the move, combined with a heater break with a fluctuation in temperate will likely be the cause of this issue. I don't advocate medicating. Just bring the temperature to where it needs to be (if you haven't already) and just let the fish acclimate on his own. Treat with aquarium salt if desired to kill any free floating ich, and the fish will fight it off himself. Wouldn't worry about it. Ich is the easiest problem to rid.

What specie of Cichlid? When they grow to maturity, Cichlids are known to be aggressive to Plecos. Some of the more aggresive species, like Convict, Will always kill Pleco tankmates.
