Rid-ich's directions expressly say not to alter the dosage only the frequency. Also, if your tetra are commercially raised from long captive lineages they are likely not as sensitive as the common aquarium dogma would have you believe. I've treated tetra with salt, tetracycline, etc etc, in hard alkaline water and they did fine. With any med I would follow the manufacturers instructions and watch for stress before I played with dosages.
