Ich HELP!!

I just noticed today that some of my fish have Ich. I went to my local aquarium store and they said to just set my heater at 85 degrees for roughly a week, and do daily water changes of roughly 20% (using gravel vac because the Ich also lives in the rocks).

He did not mention any use of aquarium salt. Is the salt NEEDED or can Ich be cured by just increasing the temperature to 85 and daily water changes???

THANKS!

Although Ich doesn't like high temps and I've heard it doesn't like salt, i'd still reccommend to quarantine the sick fish into a 10/20 gallon tank and treat them w/ an ich cure. I'm not sure but I believe salt is more of a calming agent for fish.
