Ich and Clown Loaches

So I picked up a few clown loaches this week and Ich broke out. Im treating with 1/2 dose of QuickCure and tank temp at 86 oF. I was wondering what kind of salt I should add to the tank and how much? I do have some Oceanic Sea Salt mix, is that ok or should I go out and buy a different kind?

I would use the meds for the duration as directed on the bottle. If after that ICH still remains, then repeat.

I wouldn't treat with salt at all.... How big is your tank?

Table salt will work perfectly fine for that- but I would avoid it and stick to the quick cure. Mixing treatments can be tricky, and clown loaches are very sensitive (which is why you should and are using a half dose). They are NOT tolerant of salt either, and I think combining the two cures would irritate them more.

What are your water parameters? Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate? Make sure you keep the parameters pristine, with nitrates under 15 preferably. Also, what is your pH?

What size tank are these loaches in, and do you intend to upgrade? I ask because clown loaches get very large (over a foot!), and need to be kept in groups. This means to properly house them you're looking at a tank over 200 gallons. My advice to most people with clown loaches is to return them for a smaller, more suitable loach.

Ammonia and Nitrite are 0, Nitrate is a little high around 25-30ppm.

Right now they are in a 55g tank, about 2 1/2 inches long. I know they take a long time to get big and I would love to have a huge tank like that for the future but if there is any reason why I cant get a tank that big, I figure I could sell them to my LFS and get some smaller ones again. I just love the personality of these fish.

Oh, PH last time I tested was around 7.8
