I had an outbreak in my tank, used Lifeguard for the 5 days, did the water change, nothing changed, lost fish, but not all of them, I added 1 mounding table spoon of salt to every 5 gallons of water and after a couple of days it all went away, my fish that had it the worst survived, it was covered from mouth to tail in those little white specks, looked like a completly different fish
3 months later and i still have that fish :)
so yes marine salt does work,
im just noticed it in my baby tank so i just did 100% water change and added salt so hopefully in a few days it will be gone

Best of luck to you!
