So one of my tanks now has ich so what do I use to get ride of it? I know to use some kind of rid ich but any brands in particular that work the best? Also I have heard that putting salt into the water will help too and raising the temp to 80 is that true?
Yes aquarium salt and raising the temp will help with ridding your tank of ich............The last time i needed to medicate for ich i used the "Jungle" brand, i think it was called Ick Guard, but cant say for sure, its been so long.......Ich isnt that tuff to get rid of, just follow the manufacturer's directions and things should be fine for you and your fish
You can use the heat/salt method or you can use medications. I've done both. The medication I used was Kordon's Rid-Ich. I have cats & loaches so I had to use 1/2 the required dosage on the meds due to the sensitivity of some of my fish.
