Ahhhhhhh! I woked on my beautiful betta for months growing back his fins, and helping him gain bakc his health from the condition he came to me in. I was just commenting today how much better he looked, then I got him a light. He was fine all day, but I came into my room right after m shower and cought him in the act! half his fins are gone now! I got rid of the light right away, but now idk what to do..... Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you get a picture of the tank? Sometimes a betta will nibble on their own fins, stress can bring on this kind of behavior. It's possible that he is getting bent out of shape over having very active zebra danios in the tank with him.
Ok, He was bored.... I changed his tank around and added stuff, now he also has a guppy tank next to his so he has someone to watch, I tried to se what he thought of my cherry barbs, or neon tetras..... not a big fan of being in a tank with fish, but he loves watching them from a dif. tank! :)
