I know this is a betta site.

but my betta died a while back so i got two popeyed goldfish from walmart. one died of ick two days after i got it and so i put the other goldfish in a one gallon tank {they were originally in a 10 gallon together}...will this be enough to stop ick from spreading to the other fish or do i need to still get some medicine.

get medicine

Get some medine at the pet store its a few dollars and id advise not putting any more fish in with it for atleast a month or so.

To treat ich, most people raise the temperature to 82-84 degrees (if the fish in question can stand high temps) add a teaspoon of salt per gallon, and an ich medicine like coppersafe or aquarisol.

Is anyone going to mention that gold fish shouldn't be kept in one gallon bowls? Or kept with warm water fish?
