I'm sorry to hear that, hun. Sending me a PM will be much better so I can see your thread as quickly as I can.

You're sweet thanks! But now I can say (thanks to some darn new plants) I successfully battled ich attack no 2 in the house.
Do you think now that all visible signs are gone, continuing the meds for 5 more days and then add carbon to the filter to help remove alongside a large w/c will be sufficient? Or rather continue meds longer?

I believe I continued meds for 3 additional days after the Ich was gone, using RidIch. I kept the temperature up for the 5 days and did a large water change. No losses on my end either

Well sadly the only fish that died from the ich so far was my pregnant molly , all the others have 0 white spots and seem extremly full of life

5 days is fine although I prefer a week just to be sure.

My first problem with Ich!

I am very hesitant to use aquarium salt-the infected fish is a molly. Am on day 2 of the formalin/green treatment. No new fish-I suspect the food (and yes I was overdue for a water change!). Maintenance is important of course. So now I am sentenced to water change and treatment for 2 weeks...

Any feedback as to choosing food? I am willing to spend a bit more.
