HELP! Tiger Barbs are dying!!!!!

Tank has been stable for months now, with no deaths. I added a second clown loach about three weeks ago and one tiger barb died a week after and now a second barb is dying. Looks like their bottom fins are gone. Could the new clown loach be attacking the barbs one by one? The loach doesn't look aggressive at all, but not sure what else could be causing the barb problem. The two red wag platys and catfish are as healthy and active as can be. It's just the barbs... PLEASE HELP!

hi
from your profile i see you have a 10glln tank
with tiger barbs,clown loaches,platys,catfish.
what decor have you got in there, not much i guess however
can you tell what the water conditions is please.
i don't want to harp on about the wrong conditions that the fish are in,
however as tiger barbs get to a fair size and are very active fast swimming fish, they have probably damaged themselves
within the tank.

Water conditions are good - ph and nitrogen are within normal limits. Water is crystal clear, no visible algae. Tiger barbs are both about 1.2", the platys are just under an inch each, the catfish are about 2" each and the loaches around 2" each. The catfish hang out in the rock in the corner and are never in the way. The loaches are always inside the shipwreck. It's really just the barbs and platys that are out swimming around all the time. I have three small plants, one real two fake.

When you added the second Loach you made it rougher on the fish. That's a lot of fish in a 10 gallon tank. I recommend small water changes (about 10%) twice a week. Check out the fins on all the fish. Do they look depleted or kind a spikey?

Nope, fins on all the other fish look fine. Just the one tiger barb this week and the one tiger that already died last week had any signs of fin issues. I do about a 15-20% water change every week.
