Help! Oscars in trouble

I have recently transfered my full grown Red and albino oscars to a bigger tank. I cycled it like your supose to but 2 days after i transfered them, I woke to find my albino lying on her side on the bottom barely breathing and the red was on the surface but acting fairly normal. I took a water sample and it was high in nitrates and nitrites. I added a nitrate and nitrite remover to the tank but where do I go from here. do I take the oscars out or change the water? HELP!

I'm sorry you lost your fish. I'd continue testing the water daily and performing water changes when you see a nitrite reading. You don't want to lose your red oscar and it may be that your tank is not fully cycled. It's the nitrite reading that would bother me. Testing and water changes are much preferred over adding chemicals. Good luck!

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...
