Is he sick?

My betta, Henry, is quite active and rather lively. That said, I noticed last night that he seems to have a lesion of sorts on his back just before his tail, almost as though the scales were rubbed off. There are no other symptoms. It is not bleeding. He frankly doesn't even seem to notice. I've only had him for two weeks. I've maintained good water conditions. Is he sick? Or did he just get a cut?

Okay, I'll try and post a pic soon. I don't have a heater. I change the water once a week and the tank is 1.5 gallons. More info to come.
