Has anyone had good….

….results with pimafix? Thinking of getting a "med cabinet" ready for just in case something pops up.

Thanks ahead of time for your advice

If I was setting up a med cabinet, depending on the fish I keep, I'd just stock up on antibiotics (for Gram-negative and gram-positive), anti-parasitic (like Ich-away), activated carbon, and zeolite filter media.

I've never seen fungal infections healthy aquariums. Of course, with proper quarantine measures, you wouldn't need any of it.

To answer your question, I'm not entirely sure. (I would lean more towards it being useless.) I had a fungal outbreak, and it did clear up after using the pimafix, but while I was dosing I upped the w/c's... Since then I've noticed that just doing tons of water changes can usually clear up fungus.

Thank you. I'll heed your advice. I do weekly water changes, but the 55g. is a little over populated. How often do you think I need to do water changes on that one. The 77g, I just de-populated some to give my parrot fish better water conditions. I've had these tanks for little over two years. I've had no problems but I'd rather be on the safe side and nip anything in the bud.
