Exclamation Guppy parasite help!!!

I have guppies that are literally falling apart. I bought a plant from walmart and put it in that aquarium. A couple of weeks later, white worms where all over the fish tank. Every now and then, a guppy of mine gets it and their scales are poked out and they eventually die. For instance, I checked on them two days ago and one had its guts hanging from its body and yesterday I found one without any skin in its belly area even though it was still alive. Please help. I know that it is not planaria because they go past the water surface and climb out. and if they are in the current, they squiggle around fast and they don't look very flat.

Plant roots and snails can carry flukes and other parasites. I bought plants from Petco and the next day I had a dead Platy with a white worm hanging from the gills. Next day another died with a white worm in the gills. I don't know what they were or yours are. I treated with API General Cure for twice as long as directed because one Platy was acting sick and these parasites can be hard to get rid of. Also General Cure is nowhere near as hard on fish as other meds. It's safe for catfish, snails, plants and beneficial bacteria. It worked for me. P.S. Mine were not flat either. The name General Cure is misleading, it targets and kills internal parasites. Do yours appear to be internal or external?

Consider the needs of your fish before acting on your desires.
